A Little About Us

We were chartered in 1946 by Kiwanis International. At our height in the 1950s we had over 50 members. The club then started losing members and was down to 7 active members in 1984. Kiwanis International made a decision that year to allow women to join the ranks and help revive the clubs. Today we have 24 very dedicated members. The club's major emphasis is "Children First".

In 1984 the major fund raiser was the sale of Christmas cakes, netting the club $300 that could be used to help children in the territory of Upper Bucks, Lower Leigh counties in PA and the western part of Hunterdon County, NJ. Today our major fund raiser is the "Fall Roll Out Car Show". Last year we grossed over $16,000.

Since the club's inception, it has made very important achievements in the community such as the Riegelsville recreational field, that includes a baseball field, pavilion, tennis courts and space for all ages of children to use and have fun. The Riegelsville Kiwanis supports any and all activities involved with children. We also confidentially help families that have emergency problems. We award scholarships to children who help the community.

In 1998 we established a Key Club at the Palisades High School. The Key Club is a junior model of the Riegelsville Kiwanis club. They hold fund raisers and dances to help the school system in reading programs.
