Our History

The Riegelsville Kiwanis Club received its charter from Kiwanis International in 1946.   The club’s membership grew and had more than 50 members during the 1950’s. Membership slowly declined until 1984 when Kiwanis International changed and invited women to become Kiwanians.   Professional women became members of the Riegelsville Kiwanis Club.  Today, the club includes men and women, who enthusiastically work together to support their community.  The club’s main focus is “children first”.

Fund raising is part of the club’s history and for the last 20 years, the club’s major fundraiser is the Fall Roll Out Car Show, held on the first Sunday in November. Money raised is used to support the children in the greater Riegelsville area, including Upper Bucks and Lower Lehigh Counties, Pennsylvania and the western part of Hunterton County, New Jersey.

The Riegelsville Kiwanis club is proud of its achievements as it supports activities for children.  The club has furnished a recreational field in Riegelsville, provides annual activities for children, awards scholarships and helps families in need.  In 1998 an affiliate Key Club was established at Palisades High School.  Acting as a junior model of the Riegelsville Kiwanis Club, members of the PHS Key Club provide community service with a strong focus on helping children.

We encourage you to join us and become a member of the club.  Please contact us and receive the satisfaction of helping your community.
